Yesterday, in company of some stakeholders, I paid a New Year visit to Isampou, Ayamasa and Angalabiri Communities. I was impressed with the warm reception accorded me and my delegation by the paramount rulers and their Council of Chiefs, women and youth leaders of the Communities.
I expressed my New Year greetings to them and thanked them for their support for our party and the government and urged them to continue to stand by and support the government and our party and work for peace and stability in all communities, Senatorial District and the State by extension.
At Ayamasa, it was a pleasure to have stepped into the historic Saint John’s Anglican Church, started by one of my grand mothers (my grand mother’s elder sister), Princess Adanime Kpadia and her husband Mr. Nanawerigha at Ayamasa who started this church around 1840s. I prayed for their souls to rest in peace and for God to reward their sacrifices and labour.
My visit to the communities within this period also gave me an opportunity to assess the democratic gains made over the years and further expectations of our people. My delegation and I were pleased and honored with the large turnout inspite of the short notice, prayers and felicitations.
