I attended the Nigerian Clean Cooking Summit as a special guest which was aimed at encouraging the use of clean energy for cooking by all as a way of preserving our forest resources and preventing health complications associated with prolonged exposure to unclean energy for cooking.
I made my goodwill remarks and thereafter, the Honourable Minister of State, Environment and Ecological Management, Hon. Ishak Salako, I and other participants inspected a mini exhibition.
I also had the opportunity to interact with NGOs, development partners and others.
As I stated in my remarks, the issue of using unclean energy for cooking has real-life and health implications, directly contributing to deforestation and needs to be tackled by all.
I hope to take up this issue with other stakeholders.
