Today, the Senate considered the report of the Joint Technical Committee of the Student Loan Board which has been passed arising from the recommendations of the Technical Committee that I chaired to address impediments.
I extend my immeasurable gratitude to all committee members from both Chambers and members of the Executive Arm who worked with me for three days in our bid to actualize this laudable and highly impactful scheme.
This is a similar Student Loan initiative that I introduced in Bayelsa a decade ago, which has proven to be a huge success and I am happy that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who means well for Nigerian Students has also introduced this scheme.
Finally, I urge for its effective implementation in order to achieve the desired result.
