Yesterday, in the company of family members and elders of my community, I visited Toru-Angiama in Delta state, my maternal home.
I was warmly received by my mother’s family, chiefs, elders, women and the entire community.
I conveyed my Christmas and New year felicitations and offered prayers at the grave side of my mother which we carry out as a family custom.
I thank the Toru-Angiama community, chiefs, elders, women and youths for the warm reception, their prayers and support and pray for the repose of her soul.
I also visited Etiawari-Angiama in Bayelsa state where I was cordially received with a boat regatta and rope wrestling. I was also conferred with a title “Opu- Okirizi of Angiama Kingdom”. It was a convivial atmosphere and I also sent my Christmas and New Year message to the people thanking them for their support for me and our party.
Thereafter I set out to Bulou-Orua, where I visited His Royal Highness, Chief Stanley Engowerikumo Kolobiriowei the fourth, Amananaowei of Bulou-Orua. He received me and my entourage and we discussed on how to bring development to our people through Education.
I also visited the family of my late uncle Chief Court Ogele, former deputy/acting Amananaowei of Bulou-Orua.
Chief Court lived a life of service to humanity, was an elder of my family Obuwari and leader of the Bulou-Orua community.
I pray God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss and his soul eternal repose.
I then visited the Amaokosiowei of Bulou-Orua Chief Fuo Nanakumo, who received us warmly, entertained and prayed for me and my delegation.
