The Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, is set to organise a memorial service in honour of his mother, Mrs. GoldCoast Dickson, next Thursday.
The late GoldCoast died of lung cancer on August 8, 2018, at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas, United States of America, seven months after being diagnosed of the illness.
The Special Adviser on Media Relations to the Governor, Mr Fidelis Soriwei, said in a statement on Friday that the memorial service scheduled to take place at the Toru-Orua country home of the Dicksons in Sagbama Local Government Area would be followed immediately by a formal presentation and launch of the Henry Seriake Dickson Foundation.
He said the event, to be chaired by former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd.), would have former President Olusegun Obasanjo as Special Guest of Honour and former President Goodluck Jonathan as Special Guest.
